Features – What We Loved

Spacious Two-Room Layout

The Browning Big Horn Tent features a two-room wall divider, allowing you to create separate living/sleeping areas within the tent. This is perfect for families or groups who want to maintain privacy or have different sleeping arrangements. The divider can be easily attached or removed, giving you the flexibility to customize the interior space according to your needs.

The extra-tall center and straight side walls of the tent provide ample headroom, allowing you to move comfortably inside. This is especially beneficial if you have cots or large sleeping bags that require more vertical space. Additionally, the spacious layout offers plenty of room for storing extra gear, ensuring a clutter-free and organized camping experience.

Optimal Ventilation

The Big Horn Tent is designed to provide excellent ventilation to keep you comfortable during your camping trip. It features six large windows, two doorways, and a mesh roof that allow for easy entry and optimal airflow. The large windows not only offer great views of the surrounding environment but also allow fresh air to circulate, preventing the tent from becoming stuffy or humid.

With the Browning Big Horn Tent, you can stay cool, comfortable, and insect-free throughout your camping adventure.

Extra Strength and Stability

The Browning Big Horn Tent is designed with fiberglass poles and steel uprights, providing ultimate extra strength and stability. This ensures that the tent remains sturdy and durable, even in harsh weather conditions. Whether you’re camping in high winds or heavy rain, you can rely on this tent to hold up and protect you from the elements.

With its free-standing design, you don’t have to worry about finding the perfect spot with trees or rocks to anchor your tent. The fiberglass poles and steel uprights provide the necessary support for the tent to stand on its own, giving you more flexibility in choosing your camping location.

Pro Tip: To further enhance the stability of the tent, you can securely anchor it to the ground using the included steel stakes and guy ropes. This will ensure that the tent remains in place even in windy conditions, providing you with added peace of mind.

Convenient Storage and Accessories

The Browning Big Horn Tent is fully equipped with mesh storage pockets, allowing you to keep your essentials organized and within easy reach. These pockets are perfect for storing small items such as flashlights, phones, and camping accessories, ensuring that you don’t have to search through your entire tent to find what you need.

In addition to the storage pockets, the tent comes with a polyester fly that provides extra protection against rain and UV rays. It also includes guy ropes and steel stakes to secure the tent firmly to the ground, ensuring stability even in adverse weather conditions. The rainfly has a 2000mm waterhead rating, meaning it’s ready to withstand rain and moisture without letting a single drop inside.

These accessories are essential for a hassle-free camping experience, providing you with everything you need to set up and enjoy your tent.

Spacious Dimensions and Portability

The Big Horn Tent has a base size of 10′ x 15′, providing ample space for multiple occupants. The two-room layout and straight side walls maximize the usable area, allowing for comfortable sleeping arrangements and the storage of extra gear.

Despite its generous size, the tent is relatively portable with a small packed size, making it easy to transport and store. Whether you’re traveling by car or walking to your camping spot, the compact packed size ensures that the tent doesn’t take up much space and can be conveniently carried.

Pro Tip: When folding and packing the tent, take care to fold it neatly and avoid bending the fiberglass poles. This will help prolong the lifespan of the tent and ensure that it remains in good condition for future camping adventures. Adding on the matching tent footprint will also prolong the tent’s lifespan.

What Can Be Improved

  • Potential for Water Leakage: Some users reported water pooling above their heads due to the design, causing slow leaks into the tent during heavy rain. This could be avoided by pitching the tent so that the fabric is tight or even utilizing an overhead tarp for weather protection.
  • Issues with Zippers: A few customers experienced difficulties with the zippers, specifically with the fabric getting caught and making it challenging to open and close the tent doors smoothly. We didn’t experience this, but we would like to see upgraded zippers in this design.

Our Score: 93.0

I recently purchased the Browning Camping Big Horn Tent in the Two-room Charcoal design, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. This tent has proven to be incredibly sturdy and stable, even in strong winds. The fiberglass poles and steel uprights provide extra strength and durability, which gave me peace of mind during my camping trip.

The spaciousness of this tent is impressive. The two-room wall divider, extra tall center, and straight side walls allowed for ample room for my cots, sleeping bags, and extra gear. The six large windows, two doorways, and mesh roof provided excellent ventilation and easy entry. I especially appreciated the mesh storage pockets, polyester fly, guy ropes, and steel stakes that were included with the tent.

Setting up the tent was a breeze, and it was just as easy to take down and pack away. The storage bag even had enough room to store the tarp I used under the tent. The tent remained completely dry during a rainy night, and the water accumulated on the tarp, not seeping through the tent floor. Overall, this tent has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and size.

I highly recommend the Browning Camping Big Horn Tent for anyone in need of a reliable and spacious tent for their outdoor adventures. It has certainly made my camping trips much more comfortable, and I believe it is well worth the investment. Check it out here!
